I am striving only to save the party ,” he said.<br /><br />Commenting on the recent statement by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that he will finish off JD(S), Gowda said the remark by Siddaramaiah, who had grown as a leader in the JD(S), had hurt him. “It is not easy to destroy a party when there are honest party workers,” he said.<br /><br />Speaking after his felicitation, MLC Basavaraja Horatti said, “Those who were very close to Kumaraswamy have left the party. People like us, who were kept at a distance, have come closer. A few mistakes committed by Kumaraswamy has affected the party’s prospects,” he said.</p>
