JOIN USInfosys co-founder N R Naryana Murthy (in pic) on Thursday said highest efficiency in any profession can be achieved purely through merit and discipline.
He was addressing the lower executive staff of prisons (warders, head warders and jailors) during the valedictory of the two-day capacity building course in the city.
‘Progress every day’
“Employees need to progress every day and introspect their performance. The efficiency will go up only if employees are punctual and work hard daily,” Murthy said. He stressed the importance of merit, focus and dedication in attaining the objectives of any organisation.
The capacity building courses were launched a few months ago to ensure self-esteem and motivation among the lower executive staff. The courses were conducted in Vijayapura, Belagavi, Dharwad, Bengaluru, Mysuru and Mangaluru.
The Prisons department has conducted 16 courses and five more will be held in Bengaluru, said Director General of Police (Prisons) H N Sathyanarayana Rao.
