Two women lost their chains to snatchers in a span of one hour in Vidyaranyapura on Saturday.
Around 1.30 pm, Kalaimani, 45, a teacher with a private school in Chamundeshwari Layout, was helping the children to board the school bus while two bike-borne men snatched her 80-gm chain. By the time the security guards at the school swing into action, the duo had vanished, police said.
In the other incident, Muninarasamma, 60, was walking on the road when two men approached her on the pretext of asking for an address. They tried to snatch her chain, but she raised an alarm. The miscreants could flee only with a part of the chain. Similar bikes were used in both the incidents and police suspect involvement of same persons. CCTV footage is being checked for clues.
