Actor Vinay Rajkumar works on only one project at a time and takes up another only after he has completed the previous one to his satisfaction. And Vinay makes sure he gets involved in every aspect of the film, including the promotions. The fruits of Vinay’s involvement can be seen in the overwhelming response his latest release ‘Run Anthony’ has generated among his fans.

Vinay did the rounds of a couple of theatres on the release day and was pleased with the response. He essays the character of a Christian boy in the film and is cast opposite debutant actors Rukhsar and Sushmita both of whom have complemented his role very well. “More than just acting out my role, I’ve worked towards understanding the character. My look and body language have been tweaked to suit the character, to make it appear as natural as possible. I’ve always wanted the role to be as relatable as possible,” says Vinay.

The young actor recollects that he designed a very different kind of promotion for ‘Run Anthony’ and has linked it to Facebook. “We got actors to write about the one thing that they run away from. We had a few popular actors write about the things that they run away from and their posts on Facebook got noticed by a lot of people. This has added to the curiosity about the film,” says Vinay. The posters too were designed in such a way that they didn’t give away too much about the film. “The promotional activities have raised a lot of curiosity among the people and I believe that this is also what brought people to the theatres,” he says.

Vinay’s family, including his uncles Puneeth and Shivarajkumar, watched the movie on the day of the release. “Puneeth has loved the song ‘Summane’ and Shivarajkumar too watched the first show on the first day with his family. They have all been very encouraging,” says Vinay.

Vinay has already signed his next project and says that he will work on only one project at a time.

“I don’t want to work on too many projects and be remembered for nothing. I want to gain more experience before I take on more work,” he says.
