No significant rise in water level in KRS

 With the Cauvery catchment area receiving scanty rains, and Kodagu region recording only 1.26 mm rain in the past 24 hours, there has not been significant rise in the water level at Krishnarajasagar (KRS) reservoir, in Srirangapatna taluk of Mandya district.

The water level, which was 99.40 feet on Monday increased to 99.55 feet on Tuesday against the maximum of 124.80 feet. It is expected to reach the 100-foot mark by Wednesday. The inflow was 7,120 cusecs and outflow 5,683 cusecs on Tuesday. The water level at Hemavathi reservoir was 2,894.72 feet against the maximum level of 2,922 feet.

Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu districts experienced scanty rainfall on Tuesday. In the last 24 hours, DK district received 3 mm rainfall. On the other hand, Kodagu district received 1.26 mm rainfall. The water level in Harangi reservoir stood at 2858.04 feet.
