<p>University of Mysore (UoM) Vice-Chancellor and ex-VC of KSOU K S Rangappa, one of the accused in reported irregularities in Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), on Tuesday, approached the third additional district and sessions court, seeking anticipatory bail.<br /><br /></p>.<p>According to sources, the petition is likely to come up for hearing on Wednesday.<br /><br />On Saturday, the Jayalakshmipuram police had registered a first information report against seven people including K S Rangappa and former KSOU VC M G Krishnan, following a complaint by KSOU Finance Officer K Khader Pasha. The complaint was registered based on the directions of Chancellor of Universities and Governor, Vajubhai Vala.<br /><br />According to the complaint, Rangappa and Krishnan were involved in irregularities reported in the purchase of furniture and computers for the university during their tenure as vice chancellors.</p>
