CM's absence questioned

  Yeddyurappa is on a two-day visit to New Delhi for holding discussions with the Planning Commission.

“The State budget has been finalised. When the plan size has been fixed the necessity of meeting the Planning Commission does not arise,” said Siddaramaiah.

The sanctity of budget discussions is lost if the finance minister (Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa), is absent during the debate.

Paramashivaiah report

Water Resources Minister Basavaraj Bommai, on Monday, said the government is committed to implement the G S Paramashivaiah committee report on providing drinking water supply to water-starved districts of Kolar, Tumkur, Chitradurga and Chikkaballapur.

In his reply to the Legislative Assembly, he said the feasibility study being prepared by Hyderabad-based company is likely to be available by March 2011.
