JOIN USThe Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has enhanced the rent of Sir Puttanna Chetty Town Hall ranging from Rs 35,000 to Rs 75,000 a day.
The BBMP will charge Rs 75,000 for using of the building with air-conditioner, Rs 60,000 for using the building without air-conditioner and Rs 35,000 to avail the building on concession.
The BBMP has set certain guidelines to use the building on concessional rates. The applicants should organise government supported events for the welfare of differently-abled people, state government and BBMP programmes, Kannda and culture programmes supported by the Kannada and Culture department, welfare programmes for the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.
The family of Sir Puttanna Chetty will be given the hall free of cost for their annual programme. The decision to give the building on concessional rates will be taken up by the BBMP commissioner.
The building will be given on rent from 9 am to 10 pm. In the event of any untoward incident or damage to the furniture and the building, the organisers will be held accountable.
