Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Administrator of Fr Muller Medical College Fr Denis D’Sa informed that Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dinesh Trivedi will be the chief guest on the occasion. Lokayukta Justice N Santhosh Hegde and Secretary of State for Natural Resources of the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste Alfredo Pires will be the guests of honour on the occasion. Bishop of Mangalore Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza will preside, he said. Fr D’Sa added that as many as 388 graduates from the medical college, school and college of nursing will receive their graduation certificates on the day, which also marks the 169th birth anniversary of Founder of the institutions Rev Fr Augustus Muller.
As part of the finale of the decennial celebrations of Fr Muller Medical college, the founder director, administrator and dean will be felicitated. A research journal and a souvenir will be released. The first staff team and the first batch of graduates will also be felicitated, Fr D’Sa added.
