Provimi to tap Indian market

The company, which is manufacturing medicated feed additives for animals at its facility in Doddaballapur, plans to ramp up its research and development facility to help to optimise existing products.

In addition, it plans to launch five new products in 2010.  Briefing reporters, Provimi Group Vice President Gijs Scholman said, “the market for animal nutrition in India is to the tune of Rs 4000 crore, so we plan to focus on this category.”

The company has facilities for manufacturing animal nutrition in Bangalore, Colombo and Sri Lanka. It is also looking at acquisitions in Asia and Latin America.
