<p>“IPL is a pretty long tournament, and it is important to start on a positive note. We have been preparing well for the event and hopefully we can execute our plans well tomorrow and it’s always good to start on a winning note. <br /><br />“Hopefully we can do one step better this time,” Kumble told reporters here on Saturday.<br />Going into the event, RCB has a host of players who have been in excellent form. Abhimanyu Mithun, R Vinay Kumar, Manish Pandey, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid and Praveen Kumar have been in good touch throughout the season. The Bangalorean said the form of RCB’s Indian contingent augured well for the team.<br /><br />“Many of them are in good touch coming into the tournament and it’s a plus factor certainly. <br />“All these players have proved their skills and form in various matches at national and international level. So, confident is a nice thing to have ahead of a tournament; it’s really important to be in the right frame of mind,” Kumble said.<br /><br />However, the veteran leg-spinner warned against complacency factor, primarily because of the largely unpredictable nature of the T20 format.“In a format like T20 every game is important. Last year, nobody gave us a chance, but we gained momentum midway and reached final. You need to respect the opposition and the form players they have,” Kumble said.</p>
