BDA to allot 3,512 flats to poor soon

The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will allot 3,512 flats to people from economically weaker sections in different residential areas.

According to BDA sources, of the total 3,512 flats, 497 are 1 BHK flats. Of which, 368 flats in Alur will be alloted to the people belonging to the weaker sections at concessional prices.

The price of each flat was Rs 11 lakh for the general category and Rs 8.25 lakh for the poor.

For people belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the flat was priced at Rs 6.25 lakh.

Of the 2,571 2-BHK flats, 178 are located at Doddabanahalli Stage-1, 175 at Doddabanahalli Stage-2, 560 at Kaniminike Stage-1, 288 at Stage-2, 108 at Stage-4, 348 at Aluru, 320 at Kommaghatta and 360 flats at Malagala. The prices of 2-BHK flats range between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 40 lakh, based on its size and locality, the BDA stated.

Also, 232 3-BHK flats were available at Valagerahalli Stage-5 on Mysuru Road and were priced at Rs 45 lakh. A further 104 3-BHK flats at Alur were priced at Rs 50 lakh each and 108 flats at Kaniminike were available for Rs 40 lakh each. Interested people should seek applications from designated banks with an initial deposit. The applications will be issued between November 28 and January 21, the BDA stated.
