Cartoon expo on 'global warming' in city

The exhibition features around 20 cartoons by renowned cartoonists from all over the State on the theme of ‘Global warming’.

Speaking to Deccan Herald after the inauguration, Director of Gerebere School of Art, and cartoonist Jeevan informed that presenting a serious theme in a humourous way is very useful to create awareness on the problem, especially among school children. The exhibition has been arranged with the intention of educating youth about global change in environment and also to popularise cartoons, he added.

Cartoonist Harishchandra Shetty (Harini) gave live demonstration and prepared on the spot caricatures.  Director of Prasad Art Gallery Koti Prasad Alva and others were present during the inauguration. The exhibition will remain open till March 20 between 10 am and 7 pm.
