Man held for trying to sneak ganja inside prison

A 21-year-old man was arrested while trying to smuggle ganja inside the Central Prison, Parappana Agrahara, on Wednesday.

The arrested, Sanju, is a painter and a resident of Austin Town. Praveen, a friend of an undertrial lodged at the Central Prison, decided to sneak ganja for him through Sanju.

Sanju hid ganja in a lunch box packed with biriyani. Police grew suspicious when Sanju was reluctant to open the box at the entrance of the prison and arrested him.
