<p>Speaking to Deccan Herald over phone from Bangalore, Farooq, who has returned to Bangalore from Bangkok, said that he would be filing a contempt of court case against the State government, which was responsible for creating a Joint House Committee to conduct an inquiry into the bribery case, while the case was still pending in the court. <br /><br />“This was an insult to the judicial system. The Government should take back the admonition,” he said. Even before arriving at a conclusion, the Government should have consulted the Lokayukta, which is again a Government body.<br /><br />If a common man is harassed by the Government in this way, then people will not come forward to fight against corruption, he said and added that former MLC and senior advocate A K Subbaiah will be representing his case.<br /></p>
