Special trains to clear summer rush

To clear the summer rush in April, May and June, the following special trains will be run by South Western Railway:

Bangalore-City-Ernakulam-Bangalore City Weekly Express Specials: Ernakulam-Bangalore City Weekly Express Special (Train No 0653) will leave Ernakulam junction at 9.15 pm on Thursdays and reach Bangalore City at 10 am the next day. The train will run from

Ernakulam via Alwaye, Trichur, Palghat, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Tirupathur, Kuppam, Bangarpet, Whitefield, Krishnarajapuram and Bangalore Cantonment to reach Bangalore City. The first service from Ernakulam will start on April 1 and the last service will be on June 17.  

In the return direction, the Bangalore City-Ernakulam Weekly Express Special (Train No 0654) will leave Bangalore City at 6.50 pm on Fridays and reach Ernakulam junction at 6.30 am the next day. The first service from City will be on April 2 and the last service will be on June 18.

The other pair of special train, Ernakulam-Bangalore City Weekly Special (Train no. 0651) will leave Ernakulam junction at 6.50 pm on Mondays and reach Bangalore City at 8.30 am. the next day. The first service commences on April 5 and the last service will be on June 14. It will follow the same route as the other special train mentioned above. In the return direction, the Bangalore City-Ernakulam Weekly Special (Train No. 0652) will leave Bangalore City at 5.15 pm on Tuesdays and reach Ernakulam junction at 4.20 a.m. the next day. The first service from City will commence on April 6 and the last service will be on June 15.

Kacheguda-Bangalore City-Kacheguda-Weekly Express Special: The Kacheguda-Bangalore City Weekly Express Special (Train no. 0703) leaves Kacheguda at 9.55 pm on Sundays and arrives at Bangalore City at 11.55 am the next day. The first service from Kacheguda will commence on April 18 and the last service will be on June 27. The train will run via Shadnagar, Mahaboobnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool Town, Dhone, Guntakal, Gooty, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Penukonda, Hindupur, Gauribidanur, Doddaballpur, Yelahanka and Bangalore Cantonment to reach Bangalore City.

In the return direction, the Bangalore City-Kacheguda Weekly Special Express (Train no 0704) will leave Bangalore City at 1.05 p.m. on Mondays and arrive at Kacheguda at 4 am the next day. The first service will be April 19 and the last service will be on June 28.
