JOIN USLeader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar has demanded the state government put the draft on textbook revision submitted by the committee headed by writer Baragur Ramchandrappa, in public domain.
Speaking at a school inauguration ceremony here on Monday, Shettar said it is the responsibility of the government to invite suggestions from the general public on the draft. The suggestions given by the educationists and the parents should be incorporated, he added.
The committee has already submitted its draft on textbook revision. The government has floated tenders for publishing textbooks based on the recommendations of the committee without bringing this to the notice of the general public.The government should work responsibly and in a transparent manner while printing new textbooks, he added.
