Official bludgeoned in Ramanagaram

 Shivaraju, a survey official in the Revenue Department, was killed after he was attacked behind the students’ hostel near Idgah grounds here on Sunday.

Sources said miscreants had called Shivaraju on his cell phone and asked him to come to the spot. Later, the victim was hit on his head with a blunt weapon.

A severely injured Shivaraju was rushed to St John's Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday evening, the police said. Ijuru police have registered a case and are on the hunt for the miscreants.
