Making way for future

The programme was organised for students from various Rotaract Clubs and colleges; and was attended by 270 Rotaractors, six district officials and two Rotarians.

The students gave presentations on the topic and five teams were selected for the
finals after the preliminary screening that was held on March 11 at the college
premises.

Rtr Preethi T K, the president, called the meeting to order followed by the lighting of lamp by all the dignitaries. Post this, was a discussion between Sadagopan, Director of IIIT-B; R K Misra, Founder Trustee of Sahyog; Suresh, Retired Army Officer; K V Pradeep, MD of ARCO Consultants. Rtr Karthik V K and Rtr Balasubramanya N were the moderators for the panel discussion.

The panelists spoke on different areas such as Indian education, culture, defence system, business environment, food, politics and so on. Panelists gave many thought provoking messages with excellent examples. They spoke about India’s position in the global scenario and the way India is functioning in various fields currently.

This was followed by the finals of the presentation competition, where the shortlisted participants gave a powerpoint presentation on stage, in the presence of the panelists. Further, participants had to answer questions raised by the panelists who judged the final round.

The conference concluded with valedictory. The team from Christ University bagged the first place and the team from Jyoti Nivas College got the second place.
