JOIN US A day after rowdy-turned-politician Kadabagere Srinivas was shot at and injured, the Northeast division police intensified their investigation. They detained 15 history-sheeters from the city and its outskirts on Saturday in their efforts to track the two assailants.
The Dasanapura APMC president is said to be in a stable condition, but is still under observation at the intensive care unit of the Columbia Asia Hospital.
Gang fights
The Yelahanka police picked suspects, mostly habitual offenders and history-sheeters, who were involved in attacks between rival gangs in the past. The suspects were paraded and questioned by a team of officials as to their whereabouts at the time of the attack.
Meanwhile, a police team is analysing technical evidence such as CCTV footage from and around Ballari Road to identify the armed duo. The police are also verifying phones used at specific mobile tower locations to identify the assailants.
