CSD fire: Cops still clueless

According to sources, a team of defence officials from Maharashtra, which is likely to arrive in the City by Thursday, will not only ascertain the value of the damage, but also conduct a preliminary in-house inquiry into the incident.

The Ulsoor police, who have registered a case of fire accident, said they were looking into the incident and had not ruled out the sabotage angle. “It is, however, premature to pin down the exact cause for fire,” Inspector M K Thimmaiah told Deccan Herald. Fire service officials, however, are not giving much importance to the sabotage theory. “Although our job doesn’t require looking into the cause for the fire, but the sabotage angle seems unlikely,” a senior Fire Services official said.
