Amulya gets engaged to ex-corporator's son

'Cheluvina Chittara' Amulya got engaged to Jagadish, an MBA and son of former BBMP corporator G H Ramachandra on Monday.

Dressed in a red Kanjeevaram sari, 23-year-old Amulya got engaged according to traditional Hindu rituals at a choultry in Kengeri. The couple exchanged rings in the presence of film personalities and guests.

Prior to the ceremony, a cake brought by Jagadish's close relatives was cut while Carnatic and saxophone artistes  performed in the background.

Golden Star Ganesh and his wife Shilpa, who are said to have introduced the boy to the actress, were present to wish the couple.

Jagadish later told reporters that they are planning to tie the nuptial knot in May. ``We are looking out for a suitable venue at Rajarajeshwari Nagar. The wedding may take place on May 11 and 12,’’ he said. His father is the former Rajarajeshwari Nagar corporator. Meanwhile, Amulya's fans took to social media to shower her with wishes.

Her latest movie is ‘Maasthi Gudi’ starring Duniya Vijay, which is set to hit the screens this month. Recently, Amulya had posted a  selfie with her fiancé on Twitter, saying, 'Thank u Ganesh sir, Shilpa Ganesh ma'am for introducing love of my life'.
