CISF sub-inspector goes missing after rape charge

A sub-inspector attached to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) absconded after the North East Division police booked him for a raping a woman constable.

The victim, serving as a constable at the KIA, lodged a complaint on March 5. She stated that Hemaraj G, a native of Rajasthan, promised that he would marry her. He took her to his house at Yelahanka New Town and repeatedly raped her. He did not disclose that he was already married and his wife stayed with his parents in Rajasthan.  Hemaraj has went missing after the case was registered. He has switched off his mobile phone, said the police.

Hemaraj joined the CISF at KIA about one-and-half-years ago.
