<p>The Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) is leaving no stone unturned as it gears up to host the Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group 1 tie between India and Uzbekistan here from April 7-9.<br /><br />Having been granted a financial assistance of Rs 1 crore from the State Government for the smooth conduct of the event, KSLTA will be repainting the top synthetic surface of the court, refurbishing the stands with bucket seats for all, installing corporate boxes and having food courts with various cuisines to make the clash interesting for all.<br /><br />Having witnessed good response in the ties against Serbia and Indonesia, KSLTA will stage this affair too under floodlights. Action on April 7 and 9 will begin at 3 pm while Saturday’s kick-off is set for 5 pm.<br /><br />Speaking at a press conference on Friday where KSLTA unveiled its plans, Pramod Madhwaraj, Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports and also chairman of the organising committee, said the State Government will provide all assistance needed to make this event a success.<br /><br />Tickets, for which the denominations will be finalised next week, will be available through bookmyshow.com.<br /><br />The Uzbekistan game will also mark the start of Mahesh Bhupathi’s tenure as the non-playing captain of the India team. <br /></p>
