Jyothi Uday, the victim of the 2013 ATM kiosk attack, on Friday identified her assailant Madhukar Reddy at an identification parade at the Parappana Agrahara central prison in the presence of the Bengaluru south tahsildar.

Even Mujeeb, to whom Reddy had sold Jyothi Uday's phone, was made to identify the accused during the parade. After assaulting Jyothi Uday, Reddy had robbed
her mobile and sold it to Mujeeb.

There were five people, including Madhukar Reddy, who were of the same height and stature, who were made to stand in the parade.

The four others were also chosen keeping in mind the changes the accused would have undergone over the period of three years. As it was a long gap between the incident and the identification of the accused, the victim was initially confused, but later managed to identify him.

The police, notifying the tahsildar, again changed the order of the men standing and Jyothi Uday again identified him correctly, police sources said.
