The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is responsible for the security at the airports, has reported the incident, which took place in Delhi, to the Bureau Of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).

The issue in question is that Mallya, who landed at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport runway in his helicopter on March 20, boarded a Kingfisher private jet without getting himself checked by the security officials. The rule is that even VIPs must get themselves security checked .

According to the security officials, Mallya should have undergone a security check after getting off from the chopper but before boarding his jet. A press release by the CISF said: “We have reported the matter to BCAS for investigation and further necessary action.”
However, a spokesman for Mallya said there was no violation of any security guidelines/ norms by the former MP during his visit to Delhi.
