BJP national president Amit Shah will be visiting Karnataka in August to chalk out the party’s election strategy for the 2018 Assembly polls.

According to party sources, Shah has indicated that he will spend three days in Karnataka and interact with state BJP leaders. The dates will be finalised in the coming weeks.

Shah will be visiting Karnataka as part of his 90-day nationwide tour. Senior BJP leader Jagadish Shettar on Tuesday said Shah’s tour commences in April or May.

State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa had announced in Mysuru on Monday that Shah’s tour in Karnataka would be for three days in August. Expectations are high from Shah as he is known for drawing poll strategies. Shah had recently told Karnataka BJP leaders that their mission should be to win all the 224 seats in the state.
