Man held for 'molesting' woman

The police arrested a 32-year-old man for posing as head of HR and operations at Facebook’s office in Domlur and issuing fake call letters.

The suspect is Dineshraj Gowda, a resident of Rajarajeshwari Nagar. He had contacted a woman and had issued her a fake call letter. He invited her to a resort in Ramanagaram for an interview, where he reportedly sexually assaulted her, said the police.

The victim, a resident of Mathikere, had uploaded her profile on a job portal. She received a call from a woman who claimed she was selected for a position in the HR department of Facebook’s office.

Two women have lodged a complaint so far against Gowda. Facebook has no office in Bengaluru, said the police.
