Moody talks up RCB despite Eden collapse

The Royal Challengers Bangalore’s confidence took a huge beating after their dismal show against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. But Sunrisers Hyderabad’s coach Tom Moody said it will be foolish on his side’s part to expect a similar performance from the hosts when both sides meet here on Tuesday.

“I think there is no doubt that they boast some of game’s most destructive players. We all know that and we have all seen what they are capable of doing. You would be a fool to think you could turn up tomorrow and you’re going to get a repeat of what happened in Kolkata. We certainly are paying no attention to up there. It’s done and gone and I am sure they are probably thinking the same,” said Moody at the pre-match press conference on Monday.

Hyderabad medium pacer Ben Cutting said it would be an interesting battle between the two sides but added that his team does not have specific plan to counter big guns like Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli or AB de Villiers.

“It’s going to be interesting. Chinanswamy is quite a small ground, quite a batting-friendly ground. Depends on how our team make-up as well, as to what we do. We don’t have any specific strategy for their top players. We will stick to our game plans that have been working for us. You saw our game plans, how we bowled to them in the finals last year. We bowled fairly well in our home game against RCB this season,” Cutting offered.
