<p> The state government on Tuesday recommended to Governor Vajubhai Vala names of C M Lingappa, P R Ramesh and Mohan Kondajji for nomination as members of the Karnataka Legislative Council. <br /><br />All the three had been functionaries of the Congress party. Lingappa is a former MLA from Ramanagaram while Ramesh is former Bengaluru mayor. Kondajji is a KPCC member. The government can nominate eminent personalities from the fields of education, art, culture, literature and social service to the Upper House of the state legislature. <br /></p>
