HC sends back IA by Plaza

 The petitioners appeal challenging the land acquisition for the Metro project earlier was dismissed by Justices V Gopalagowda and N Anand on March 19.

An IA was filed by the petitioners, seeking a six week stay as they wanted to challenge the judgement and had not yet received a copy of the order. A division bench headed by Justice Manjula Chellur ruled that since the matter was heard by a different bench, they could not take the petition and observed that the review would have to be done by the original bench. Since Justice V Gopalagowda was recently appointed as Chief Justice of Orissa High Court, the matter has been posted to Justice N Anand’s bench.
