Sacked Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra on Wednesday began a hunger strike demanding the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to publicise details of funding for the foreign tours made by five of its leaders.

Mishra's protest comes a day after he approached the CBI seeking a probe into the foreign tours by Satyendar Jain, Sanjay Singh, Ashish Khetan, Raghav Chadha and Durgesh Pathak.

"This is not a dharna but a satyagraha. I would like to send a message to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to put out the details. This will continue till I get clarification," Mishra said as he began his protest.

He also claimed that the details of the foreign trips would reveal "a lot about corruption" by them.

In an open post on social media, Mishra said that the details of the foreign trips would reveal all the misdoings by leaders that include using hawala route for money, misappropriation of donations and cash handlings.

"I will not eat till you publicise the details I have sought for. I know you are least concerned whether I live or die. I am also least concerned about myself. This issue is linked to the whole country. If these details don't come out now, it will lead more wrongdoings tomorrow," he said in the post addressed to Kejriwal.

He said Kejriwal has been telling people that AAP does not have money to even contest elections. "Then where did the money come from for these foreign trips?" he asked.

"If these details are revealed, people won't let you stay in power for another moment. What is the secret behind these trips?" he said.

Mishra was sacked from the Cabinet on Saturday and suspended from the party two days later after he levelled corruption allegations against Kejriwal. He had accused Kejriwal of taking Rs two crore from another Minister Satyendar Jain. Jain is also accused of helping Kejriwal's late brother-in-law clinch a Rs 50 crore land deal.
