BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa said his party will release a “charge sheet” on the “failures” of the Congress government in the state during the last four years on Thursday.
Speaking at the BJP headquarters in Bengaluru, Yeddyurappa said the “charge sheet” will be released by Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar. The Siddaramaiah government completes four years in office on May 13.
Yeddyurappa said the Congress government has failed on all fronts and the BJP will expose its “misdeeds” during the election year. Yeddyurappa said he will tour the state from May 18 in an effort to strengthen the party ahead of the 2018 elections. Several senior leaders and Union ministers from the state will accompany him in batches during the 45-day tour which will cover all districts, he said.
The infighting in the Congress is now in the open and is bound to aggravate in the coming days, he said.
Earlier, a few JD(S) leaders from Pavagad in Tumakuru district joined the BJP in the presence of Yeddyurappa.
