He was speaking after launching a programme to conduct a survey on the unemployed youth and enrolment drive under the mission here on Monday. The minister said educated and uneducated youths, aged between 18 and 35 years, can enrol themselves under Kaushalya Karnataka Mission which will enhance the employability of the youths by imparting appropriate training. The Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka, will enable the youths to acquire necessary skills for employment and livelihood promotion, he added.

He said youths, who had dropped out of schools/colleges, too can enrol themselves for skill development programmes. A certificate will be issued to the trainees after the training programme. The government aims to provide employment to at least 70 % of the youths who have undergone training, he added.
