Chennai Strikerz in front after first round

Chennai Strikerz gained the lead at the end of Round 1 in the 2nd ARC-KSTBA Team of 5 tenpin bowling tournament at Amoeba here on Saturday.

Led by former national champion Shabbir Dhankot, Chennai Strikerz bowled consistently in the second block of three games of Round 1, scoring 1020, 967 and 974 and finished on top with total pinfall of 5909.
Playing in the anchor position, Shabbir was the star performer of the day, scoring all three games above 200 (228, 247 and 206).


Overnight leaders Xtreme Strikers Bengaluru dropped to second position after scoring 885, 922 and 1003 on Saturday to total 5779. Salman Khan played well again scoring 634 (202, 214 and 218).

Chennai Turkeys (5685) and Zero Gravity Bengaluru (5684) are ranked third and fourth respectively.
Top 10 teams will bowl one block of three games on Sunday morning and top six teams based on total pinfall of 45 games per team, will be ranked and move to Round 3.

Round 3 will be played based on round-robin league in Baker format. Top-3 teams based on points scored in Round 3 will move to Stepladder round.
