<p>BJP national president Amit Shah arrived in Hyderabad on Monday on a three-day visit named “Palle Palleku BJP (BJP for every village)”. <br /><br />Sending a strong message to the Majlis, Shah met families of those who suffered at the hands of the Razakars during the liberation of Hyderabad in Teratpalli.<br /><br />He later unveiled the statue of Gundugoni Mysaiah Goud, a local BJP leader who died fighting the People’s War group in 1999. <br /><br />Shah then met booth level committee members in the block and the village, and had lunch with Dalits. <br />“The BJP will come to power in Telangana. The gathering of the national president and the village-level booth committee members on one platform is the beginning of that change,” he said addressing the cadre in Teratpalli. <br /><br />He said 4 lakh BJP workers were spread all over the country to conduct similar exercises to rejuvenate the grassroot level cadre. <br /><br />Taking potshots at the K Chandrasekhar Rao government, Shah said lack of individual toilets in villages was an indication that the Centre’s schemes were not implemented in the state.<br /><br />According to state BJP president K Laxman, Shah’s visit is aimed at strengthening the party at the grassroot level for the 2019 elections. <br /><br />“There is a political vacuum in the state and the BJP wants to fill the void,” he said. <br />Shah is expected to visit Telangana again in September.<br /><br /></p>
