Terrorist's body found in J&K

With military operations continuing in Jammu and Kashmir, the army has recovered the decomposed body of a terrorist near the Shamsabari mountain range in Kupwara district.

“On the afternoon of May 23, an army patrol, moving along the Shamsabari range, recovered an unidentified terrorist’s body in a decomposed condition along with war-like stores, including weapons, grenades and communication equipment,” a source said.

Initial assessment suggested that the terrorist was injured in a previous encounter and succumbed to injuries later. His identity has not been established yet.

Pakistan-based militants are known to leave the wounded behind as evading border guards with an injured person is difficult, sources said.
