Intel unveils new processors series

 It also introduced the latest 32 nanaometer High-K Metal Gate technology processor Intel Xeon 5600 series.

The new Xeon 7500 processors, expandable to include two to 256 chips per server, have an average performance of three times more than the existing Xeon 7400 series and is equipped with more than 20 reliability features. The new Xeon 7500 series is available in quad, six and eight core versions with twice the number of threads, giving them extra memory bandwidth.

Briefing reporters, Intel South Asia Director Sales R Ravichandran said “the new processor brings mission critical capabilities to the mainstream by delivering the most significant leap in performance, scalability and reliability.”
