ISC state topper plans to study in Cambridge University

Nicole Marielle Joseph, a student of Mallya Aditi International School, Bengaluru, bagged the first rank in Karnataka in ISC examinations (Class 12), by scoring 98.5 %.

The Science student studied for nearly 10 hours every day, before the exam, and her hard work rewarded her with centum in both Physics and Mathematics. Nicole’s father passed away when she was three, but she says that she never felt the loss as her mother and relatives were always there for her. “I have a applied to Cambridge University in United Kingdom for a degree in computer science. I have received a conditional offer and I really hope I fulfill all the conditions,” she said.

 Krishna Kishore Lal, also a student of  Mallya Aditi International School, came second with a score of 98.25%. An Arts student, Krishna loved her subjects so much that she scored a centum in Psychology and Political Science.

“I want to do the liberal arts programme in Ashoka University. I see myself as a clinical psychologist in the future and I want to do research in the field,” she said.

Along with a disciplined routine for revisions, Krishna was active in football. She has taken after her artist mother Priyanka Lal, and is a painter herself.

 Srisreyas S, who came third with 98%, had already learnt five programming languages on his own by the time he reached class 10.

“I have always been fascinated by the idea of turning logic into code. I want to do a BE in computer science in any of the BITS-Pilani colleges.  I am particularly interested in artificial intelligence and neural networks,” the student of Bishop Cotton Boys' School said. Besides his interest in coding, Srisreyas is also a musician and has created a podcast on his own.

 Mohammad Aamir Pasha of Clarence High School also came third with a score of 98%. He is determined to pursue an engineering career in any of the three - mechanical, electrical or aerospace subjects - from one of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). His sister, who is in class 2, is delighted by her brother’s achievement. His family will be celebrating his success on Ramadan day.

Varsha S of Christ Academy (ICSE) also shared the third rank.
