A female doctor in her late 40s has complained to police that an unidentified person had asked her to part with Rs 20 lakh or else he would leak a video he had recorded when she was taking bath at home.
The doctor, a gynaecologist and a single mother, said that the suspect left a typed letter on the table of her cabin in her clinic in Yeshwantpur. In the letter, he asked her to give him Rs 20 lakh or else he will circulate the video on WhatsApp and other social media sites.
The money should be handed over to a person who will meet her shortly, according to the letter. The doctor told the Yeshwantpur police that the video was apparently recorded when she taking a bath at her home. The doctor lives with her children. Her husband passed away years ago.
