He also called Indian Muslims spineless. <br /><br />In a 4-minute audio clip released on social networking sites, Musa urged Indian Muslims to “stand up against oppression” and launch the jihad against ‘gau rakshaks’ (cow protectors). “It's a war between Islam and the infidels,” he declared in his first direct address to Indian Muslims.<br /><br />Against a black al-Qaeda banner, with a world map added along with and two Kalashnikovs rifles emblazoned on two sides, Musa spoke in Kashmiri-accented Urdu. The militant commander goes on to talk about a reported rape of a Muslim woman in Bijnor. “It is shameful that Indian Muslims are spineless and don’t act against the perpetrators of such crimes,” he said.<br /><br />“Indian Muslims are most unconscionable and have forgotten about the battle of Badr. My blood boils when I see Muslims being attacked by Gau Rakshaks and Indian Muslims must form groups to take part in the conquest of Hind,” he says.<br /><br />Musa then quotes the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and recalls ‘Gazwa-e-Hind’. “Our beloved Prophet has assured Jannat (heaven) to those who participate in the conquest of Hind,” he says.<br /><br />Musa, who had taken over as Hizbul chief after its previous commander, Burhan Wani, was killed by security forces in an encounter on July 8, 2016, had stirred up a hornet’s nest last month when he threatened to chop off heads of those separatist leaders who claim the Kashmir struggle as political and not Islamic.<br /><br />Consequently, Hizbul commanders based in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir termed his statement as “unacceptable” and termed it as his “personal opinion”.
