Metro service interrupted

Metro train services were affected for an hour on the Green Line towards Nagasandra due to an electrical problem on Saturday. The train could not draw power and had to be towed away.

“The train moving from Goraguntepalya to Nagasandra experienced interruption as it could not draw power. As a result, all trains moving towards Nagasandra were not operational. This incident happened at 8.20 pm at the platform. Passengers were evacuated and their fares were refunded. The train was towed away by a rescue train and service on this line was restored from 9.25 pm,” BMRCL spokesperson Vasanth Rao said in a press release.
