Plaint against woman for calling Modi a 'dog'

Last Updated 10 June 2017, 20:01 IST
Ajith Kumar Ullal, the convenor of the BJP’s IT Cell in Mangaluru Assembly constituency, has filed a complaint with the Brihan Mumbai police against a woman for posting defamatory remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Facebook.

One Judith Lewis had shared a report, purportedly from an English daily, about Hindu leaders chalking out a plan to make India a Hindu nation by 2023 on a Facebook page ‘Konkan Tara’. Reacting to the report, one of the group members, Savitha Lancy D’Souza, who hails from Pune, called Modi a “dog” and said she wished he was killed before he completes the remaining two years of his term. However, soon after the complaint was filed, Savitha sent a message to Ajith stating she wrote the post in a fit of anger and apologised.
