<div align="justify">The Jayalakshmipuram police on Friday filed a First Information Report (FIR) against six state government employees for producing fake marks cards to obtain promotion.<br /><br />Officials working as food safety officers in different districts had submitted fake certificates of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) to the Health and Family Welfare Department for promotion.<br />The suspects<br /><br />The suspects are Saranappa and Satish of Gangavati in Koppal district, Ramesh G Reddy of Chikkodi, Kashi M Vali of Sandur in Ballari district, Shivayogappa and Mallanna of Shahapur in Yadgir district. <br /><br />The police filed an FIR after the KSOU authorities lodged a complaint. <br /><br />According to sources, as many as nine people had submitted their degree certificates to the Health and Family Department seeking promotion.
