Rains in Mumbai are an affair known to all Indians: overflowing streets, disrupted transport services and a general breakdown of commuter consistency. But this year, the Mumbai rains brought something more than their usual fare. An unexpected guest flew in with the rains this year: fishes.

A media professional, Tejas Mehta, shared photos on his Facebook profile of a man literally picking off big fishes off the flooded streets of Thakur village in Kandivali East. The photos show the man happily picking off the healthy catch and shoving them in a bag, with the message: "Just saw this man catching a big fat FISH from the flooded waters of Kandivali in Mumbai!!

The photos became viral, and were picked up by Midday on their print edition.
