Rain took a break on Wednesday with only parts state receiving intermittent rain.
Dakshina Kannada received intermittent rain in the day. The district recorded a rainfall of 19.2 mm in the last 24 hours. There was moderate rain across Shivamogga district.
Hosanagar, Bhadravathi and Shivamogga city received rain in the day.
Four girls were injured after the ceiling of a government high school in Kandakur village of Yadgir district fell on them. The ceiling was dampened due to rain and according to villagers the school building was repaired hardly two years ago. The injured students have been admitted to district hospital.
