Kaspersky unveils new solutions

Kaspersky has launched its Version 2009 on Wednesday, which provides protection to household computer-users against viruses, spyware, trojans, hijacking, botnets, identity thefts and is equipped with virtual keyboard and parental control. This security solution, which gives hourly updates, is priced at Rs 500 for single user.
“We expect to clock revenues of around $6 to 8 million this year and double it next year. We are looking at a 100 per cent growth rate from the Indian market, ” Director of Kaspersky Labs Asia Alexander Gnatusin said. In the previous fiscal year, the Company’s revenues stood at $ 3  million.
According to one estimate, in 2008, the secure content and threat management software market (SCTM) in India was estimated to be $60.6 million and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 17.6 percent for the period 2008-2013. Sensing the opportunity, the Company has decided to even set up a regional office in Hyderabad soon.  The office would take care of sales, PR and marketing for the company and would have about 10
employees.
