Third round of lottery held for RTE seats

 The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) held the third round of lottery for allotment of seats in private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act quota on Wednesday.

In the third round, there were 86,409 applications for the 22,426 seats . A total of 206 seats were held back from the lottery because of court cases and other issues.

In the first round, 86,876 students took admission after getting seats in the lottery and 18,863 students took admission after the second round.

A total of 1,05,739 students took admission in private schools in first and second rounds this year. Parents will receive SMS regarding the status of their application
after the lottery process is completed.
