<div align="justify">A software engineer has been arrested for creating a fake Twitter account in the name of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and tweeting on behalf of the chief minister. <br /><br />The suspect is Madhusudan, a software engineer from Mandya. A special team from cybercrime police station of the CID traced him on Friday evening. During questioning, he revealed that he had created the fake Twitter account —@cmofkarnatka) and had tweeted. The suspect later renamed it as @nanegadappa and also removed identifiables from the account. The police are questioning the suspect and refused to divulge further details.<br /><br />Dinesh Amin Mattu, the media advisor to chief minister, had lodged a complaint in this regard on December 29, 2016.</div>
