<p>Former MLC and BJP district unit president Shivaraj Sajjanar was arrested here on Monday in connection with a case relating to violation of the model code of conduct during the 2013 Assembly polls.<br /><br />The Election Commission had lodged a complaint against Sajjanar and he had failed to appear before the court. <br /><br />The court had issued a warrant against him. Sajjanar turned up at the court on Monday with an application seeking recall of the warrant. <br /><br />However, the chief judicial magistrate ordered the police to arrest Sajjanar. After he was arrested, he was hospitalised as he complained of uneasiness. <br /></p>
